We have no affiliation with Ankama, and this project was undertaken independently out of love for the defunct game. However, the project has been authorized by Ankama.
You are not just eager to revisit "Wakfu: The Guardians"; you're looking for a unique experience. We aim to deliver that. Although the entire game was accessible, we will redeploy its content following a faster schedule than during the original release.
Yes! You can find out the release date of the next dungeon simply by clicking on its zaap, provided you have the necessary level to access it.
Yes, but within limits. The goal is not to offer large expansions as before, but rather to improve the replayability of the game.
None of the content in "Wakfu: The Guardians" will be monetized; everything is free! You only need to create an account to play. We encourage you to support the company behind the game, Ankama, by playing and subscribing to their games and purchasing official merchandise from the Krosmoz universe on the Ankama Shop.
=== Krayth === With its entirely dreamlike universe, "WAKFU: Les Gardiens" was a way for me to completely escape the real world when I was 12. A Peter Pan at heart, I am deeply attached to my childhood memories, and I never got over the closure of the game. I worked on many projects to restore it: letters, videos, and petitions sent to Ankama… to no avail. This relentless pursuit of a lost cause led me to Kyosset, with whom I started ASHES in December 2014. For years, I assisted him in various tasks while gathering the community, dissolved and lost in the mist. ASHES gave me the opportunity to collaborate with extraordinary people, eager like me to revive a work left forgotten for too long, without seeking profit. The ANKAMA universe also led me to experiment with voice acting, another dominant passion in my life. I was able to voice Nox, Nail, Baltazar, and Barron in the fan films of Zera le Tofu. • Scripting (drops, recipes, spells, map links, various…) • Community management • Concept, editing, and directing of trailers • Writing and graphic design (outside the game) • Coordination of in-game animation and Discord moderation === Kyosset === Developer of the WLG 1 and WLG 2 servers, I learned to program seriously with the goal of one day being able to recode these games after their closure. This original desire quickly became a passion and is now my profession. • Design and development of the emulator • Design of the database • Design and programming of a map editor and data recovery tools. • Design and programming of Artificial Intelligences === Louky === Q&A tester of the game and its fidelity Huge fan of Wakfu Les Gardiens, I could never accept its disappearance. In 2016, thanks to Krayth, I discovered the Ashes project with amazement. In 2019, I participated in the WLG - Ashes Alpha. I contributed to making the game as faithful as possible to the original, improving the AI of monsters, and reporting numerous bugs. Recognized for this intense testing work, I joined the development team in autumn 2023 to rebuild Wakfu Les Gardiens 2. • Event design and in-game animator • Discord moderator • Scripting (drops, recipes, spells, map links, various…) on Wakfu Les Gardiens 2. === Special Thanks === We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the project, from near or far: the moderation and animation teams, GerØn for the site design, Akileas for the updater imagery, Louky/Mitigu/Celes for their hard testing work during the closed alpha, and of course, the community for their unwavering support and patience.
Multi-accounting is tolerated, but any attempt to interfere with it will be punished. Placing multiple characters in front of harvestable resources detracts from immersion and will be punished. Monopolizing wild battles to a certain extent can be punished as well.
Yes! The restoration project for the second installment is underway, and you can follow its progress on our Discord server.
